AAAS Welcomes Kylie Falconer as Our New Executive Officer

We’re delighted to announce that Kylie Falconer has joined the Australian Association of Animal Sciences (AAAS) as our new Executive Officer.

Kylie brings with her extensive experience in managing member-based organisations, most recently as CEO of GLENRAC (Glen Innes Natural Resource Advisory Committee) in Northern NSW - a role she continues to hold part-time. With a career spanning from grassroots Landcare coordination to senior leadership, Kylie has been instrumental in supporting rural communities and sustainable land management since 2007.

She holds a Bachelor of Rural Science from the University of New England (AU) and has complemented her practical experience with formal training, including the Australian Company Directors Course in 2022.

Kylie’s early career took her to Southern Queensland where she worked with commercial companies such as Bundaberg Molasses and Intervet Australia, supporting the beef cattle industry. Now back in Northern NSW, she and her family run a beef cattle enterprise - a reflection of her deep roots in the agricultural sector.

Kylie is looking forward to engaging with members and working closely with the AAAS Federal Council and Branches to support our shared mission of advancing animal science across Australia.
