Program announced for TIA dairy field day

The program has been announced for the 2026 TIA Dairy Research Facility Field Day, to be held on Tuesday 17 February at Elliott.
Showcasing research and innovation from across Tasmania’s dairy and livestock industries, this year's field day features an expanded program designed for producers and industry professionals. The event provides an opportunity to directly connect with researchers and explore the on-farm science supporting productivity, resilience, and sustainability.
The program includes a guided farm walk to view current trials, practical insights from the farm, and research updates on reducing synthetic nitrogen, maternal productivity, virtual fencing, drought resilient pastures, and natural capital accounting. There will also be a farmer panel discussion on the diversity of pasture-based dairy farming systems and the research required to support these systems.
Morning tea and lunch will be provided, with a complimentary coffee van kindly sponsored by the TAS Farm Innovation Hub.
